Chinese manufacturer Starmatrix chose Hyphen to produce a distinctive and original design of retractable garden hose, with lasting appeal, for their new Gartenkraft brand of products for the European market.
Hyphen used sketching to explore many different avenues of design concept for the Gartenkraft. The favourite design was then hand-sclupted in modelling foam to refine the three dimensional form, before being replicated and detailed in 3D CAD.
The Gartenkraft hosereel features an automatic hose retraction system and a 180 degree swivel wall bracket.
