getting it right
How often do you get frustrated when using a device or product? Many people blame themselves for not being able to set their video recorders, but in reality good design is not just about how good something looks. Ever had sore eye sockets after wearing swimming goggles? We don't have to live with these problems, we can design them out. Having compassion for the end user, and knowing how to translate that when designing a product is vital to getting it right.
Indeed, no where else is this more important than medical or safety products, where something has to work the way you expect it to, even if you've never used it before..
But, it's also the understanding of these issues that can mean the extra little details that put smiles on people's faces.
